(Bonus: A review of the Cosco Character Umbrella Stroller)
I planned a Father’s Day weekend mini- getaway. I searched online on where to go this weekend and I was so excited to learn that there’s actually a Crawfish Festival near our area. It’s 1.5 miles away from our location and it was mentioned in the website that they are expecting about 200,000 people to attend the festival which means it’s the biggest Crawfish Festival outside of Louisiana. I am a die- hard fan of crawfish. There was a time when I used to stock crawfish in my freezer. I had asked my supervisor to let me take the day off and use 16 hours of my personal leave credits (Thanks to the State of California).
Two days before the weekend, I was cramming to search for a light weight travel stroller because I figured; I’m going to have a hard time with the Contours Options Elite Tandem Stroller when we get to the festival because it’s hard to get through hundreds of people with our big stroller.
I was able to find the Cosco Character Umbrella Stroller at SEARs although it says on their website it’s out of stock. Lesson learned: Don’t rely on the website. Go to the store and check it out for yourself.
What I bought for the twins:
- There are multiple colors and designs. The kids love it. It’s quite an attention- grabber
- Easily folds and unfolds
- Lightweight and easily fits to a car and closet
- It has double foot breaks
- Does not recline
- The child is like sitting forward
- Secure 3- point harness is hard to adjust
- Needs chest straps (in my opinion) for safety
There was nobody in town when we arrived. I called the town’s chamber of commerce only to hear the voice recording: “The festival is moved to June 25, 2016”. Next week. Bummer!
